Charitable Giving

Canadians gave over $9 billion to charity in 2015. In addition to the other benefits available under the plan, the BeniPlus Wallet provides a unique opportunity for employers to partner with their employees in what is often an emotional or passionate endeavour – charitable giving.

The Charitable Giving option allows employees to allocate some of their benefit dollars to charity and then to give that money to causes that are important to them.

Employers can determine any limits on the amount within the overall benefit wallet that employees can allocate to charitable giving and whether to match their contributions, but the employee is free to choose how much and to which CRA-registered charity they can contribute. Working with CanadaHelps, the Charitable Giving option enables employees to donate to any one or more of the 18,000+ registered Canadian charities that partner with them, and for their employers to help them do that.

Pricing: Employers only pay for the actual donation amount. CanadaHelps charges the receiving charity a fee of 2.0%-4.9%. BeniPlus does not charge any admin fees nor do we collect any commissions on any charitable donations.
